Concrete - Curb Gutter and Sidewalk Replacement Services, Modesto, CA

The Curb, Gutter, & Sidewalk Division is wanting to add a concrete contractor to assist with the overwhelming number of work orders caused by City tree damage. Currently, the City of Modesto has a backlog of 40,000 workorders for sidewalk repair. Out of the 40,000, we have 5,000 in need of replacement immediately. Over the past year, our contractor has completed about 25,000 square feet of sidewalk and about 5,000 linier feet of curb and gutter. The City of Modesto, Public Works Department, Streets Division, requests the furnishing of curb, gutter, sidewalk, taper, transition apron, asphalt concrete, and AC pavement replacement, including the fabrication and installation of handicap access ramps, on an “as needed” basis throughout the year, budget permitting. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, fuel, tools, licenses, and insurance necessary to perform the services needed by the City of Modesto. The City of Modesto reserves the option of using City staff to perform the following work: saw cutting and remove old concrete and perform asphalt repairs. Or have Contractor do above tasks and include tree root removal, forming, pouring, form removal and backfilling on these jobs.
