In consultation with the County’s Radio Technician, the selected vendor will provide the following services and design work for the following: Overview • Design a 70V audio system that meets the specific needs of the firehouse, including clear audio distribution to various zones within the building. • Develop a radio system that ensures reliable communication for emergency response teams. • Design a VHF paging alerting system to effectively notify firefighters of incoming emergencies. • Detailed design documentation for the 70V audio system, radio system and VHF alerting system • Comprehensive plan for the radio system layout and equipment specifications. 70V Audio System Design: • Design a 70V audio distribution system to cover all necessary areas including common areas, living quarters, apparatus bays, and outdoor spaces. • Specify appropriate speakers, amplifiers, volume controls, and other necessary components. • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards for firehouse audio systems. Radio System Design: • Collaborate with the architect and county staff to integrate radio system infrastructure into the building design including 2 transmit receive locations • Specify radio equipment including base stations, antennas, and pathways. • Integrate the radios with the audio system for audio distribution. VHF Paging Alerting System: • Design a VHF paging alert system to deliver alerts and notifications to firefighters throughout the facility and include soft alert functionality where alerting is done visually first and the audio alerting is progressively louder • Specify, receivers, antennas, and control panels. • Integrate the paging system with the 70v audio system lighting • Integrate the paging system with relays that can disable cooktop stoves etc.. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
