The Western Virginia Water Authority (WVWA) is requesting sealed bids for applying herbicide with a drone on the face of the Clifford D. Craig Memorial Dam. The dam is located near 6200 West Main Street, Salem, Virginia 24153. Scope: The criteria that they need to meet are: 1. The applicator is capable of applying Diquat/Imazapyr or Diquat/Triclopyr. 2. The drone operator has to maintain the drone below the crest of the dam to prevent spray from drifting into the reservoir. 3. The drone must have an attachment that allows for spraying the herbicide. Drones that drop herbicide from under the drone will not be allowed. 4. The applicator must have prior experience applying herbicide via drone. 5. Pilots must be FAA 137 certified and trained. 6. Applicators must have Virginia certification in core, pesticide, and aquatics.
