This Consultant will serve as an extension of staff for a variety of small, medium, and large planning, environmental, and miscellaneous projects/tasks. The services provided under this contract are not considered Professional Services as defined by Section 287.055, Florida Statutes (architecture, professional engineering, landscape architecture, registered surveying and mapping). The services provided under this contract are considered Other Professional Services as defined in the Board adopted Authority Procuremnt Policies.
The project involves the overall widening of West Mitchell Hammock Road approximately 5 feet along the north side to include a 16-foot wide raised (sodded) median and an 8 foot wide sidewalk; additional roadway improvements include the milling and resurfacing of the roadway.
This solicitation is reserved for small business enterprises certified as a small business by the City, Palm Beach County or the School Board of Palm Beach County and domiciled in Palm Beach County are eligible to bid. Contractor shall provide, as needed, commercial grade high pressure washing services, upon request from the city. Services may consist of horizontal and/or vertical washing, and may include, but shall not be limited to buildings, sidewalks, parks and parking areas. Surface materials generally may include, but not be limited to, concrete, masonry, brick, wood, metal, glass, and aluminum. All surface areas will be pretreated with 100% biodegradable degreaser to remove all surface grease. The surface will then be pressure washed using 200+ degree water. Pressure washing shall remove all foreign material to include, but shall not be limited to, bug droppings, and debris, bird droppings and debris, spider webs, mold mildew, grease, adhesive, sand, dirt and any other debris that sticks to the area specified for washing. Brush cleaning and low-pressure cleaning shall be used for roofs and other areas when necessary.
The Housing Department of the Seminole Tribe of Florida is requesting bids from qualified contractors to provide hurricane impact windows and doors installation services needed on Lakeland Reservation.
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation and painting of 2-board, 3-board, and 4-board fencing throughout the Districts, as well as the installation of PVC fencing. Services shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Posts shall be treated CCA, 0.40 retention minimum, measuring 5"6" in diameter and 7' in length.
Boards shall be treated MCA, 0.15 retention minimum, and shall be Premium grade boards only, approximately 1" x 6" x 16' (NO ALTERNATES).
Posts shall be installed at approximately 8-foot centers.
The finished fence height shall be approximately 50 inches.
Posts shall be tamped firm.
Board joints shall be staggered on 8-foot centers.
Nails shall be 16d galvanized screw shank.
All post holes shall be hand dug.
Where applicable, animal wire installed at the bottom of the fence shall be 2" x 4" welded wire, minimum 14 gauge.
Where applicable, wire shall be trenched approximately 12 inches deep and stapled to the second board from the bottom.
Wire shall be stretched tight and installed plumb with the posts.
Posts and boards shall be painted with Fence-Guard 3 (NO ALTERNATES), a water-based black satin sheen acrylic fence paint. Application by spraying is prohibited; brush and roller application only.
All trenches shall be raked smooth and level, and all trash and wood debris shall be picked up and removed daily.
There is no vehicular access around wetland areas; therefore, the Contractor shall manually carry materials as necessary.
When replacing fencing, any posts or boards determined by the District to be in good condition shall be removed, transported to a specified area, and stacked neatly.

Install 30-year architectural (CertainTeed Landmark or equivalent) roof shingle as per manufacturers specifications and/or a self-adhering modified bitumen roof system to any low sloped areas as per the Escambia County Building Code. Then install new shingle over the ridge vents. Budget 320 square feet for damaged decking replacement. If they are missing or outdated install hurricane clips on every rafter or truss, with a minimum of 6 pictures illustrating said strapping. Trim any trees over hanging roof to clear roof by approximately 10 and remove all debris from site. Repair or replace any damaged fascia and soffit with like material and match the finish as close as possible. Replace only the existing gutters with new 6, seamless gutters. This is to include 4 downspouts, splash blocks, and diverters. Photographs are required for all stages of construction.
Inspect the entire HVAC system as to its operation so that it complies with the Escambia County Building Code. Repair the existing ductwork as needed. Repair/Replace the drip pan in the attic. The mechanical contractor is to provide a detailed inspection report and recommendations so that this system has met the states energy efficiency rating guidelines and is working correctly. Re-wire the house and detached garage as needed or required to conform to the national electrical code as per the Escambia County Building Code. This may require additional switches and outlets to be added if the existing space does not meet code requirements. A new meter base/power pack and riser may be required. A new breaker panel may also be required. Install disconnects at equipment and appliances. All smoke detectors should be hardwired with battery back-up. All receptacles, switches and cover plates shall be new devices. All existing and new appliances will have new pigtails installed to match new receptacles. All fixtures shall be LED or have led light bulbs installed. Repair drywall damage from rewiring and paint to match as close as possible. Blocking for ceiling fans will be required and a separate switch is required to operate the fan and light kit at all locations where the fans are installed. Install a new doorbell at entry.
