In general, the Project consists of asphalt repairs, including Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) paving; striping; curb ramp reconstructions; temporary traffic control; and related items of work as shown on the Plans, as specified in the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions, and as directed by the Engineer.
The proposed scope of work includes various pedestrian path of travel improvements at several locations throughout the City of Mill Valley. As outlined in the schedule of bid items, this work includes, but is not limited to, implementation of water pollution prevention and control measures; traffic control; upgrading of curb ramps, sidewalk and retaining wall construction; applying striping, signage, markers, crosswalks and legends, installation of rectangular rapid flashing beacons, ancillary drainage and utility adjustment work,and all other work related to pedestrian sidewalk and crossing improvements as specified in the Special Provisions, and as directed by the Director of Public Works/City Engineer
